I took the bus back to Oranjestad. I thanked him kindly for his good deed. To make a long story short, the driver offered me a ride to Oranjestad. They dropped me off in downtown Oranjestad near the bus station.

Fortunately I know conversational Spanish. Didn't order any food as the prices were too high. After the dog incident, I planned on renting a car for the remainder of my time in Aruba. I walked to the near by grocery stores and carried supplies in a back pack.

I chose this particular location because there were 4 condominiums for sale at an attractive price in this complex and I wanted to rent one to see if I liked it and felt secure. I went back to Charlies Bar. I told the bartender and some patrons what had happened. I told the driver a man who appeared to be in his 60'swho only spoke Spanish, what was happening. In San Nicolas I stopped at Charlies bar. I spoke with another woman who was waiting at the "bus stop".
Everything gets better the next day. I was the only tourist on the bus. I met some really nice tourists from South America on the Arubabus Van. I got dropped off on the prostitution and had to walk back to my Condo. I paid the fare in Dollars using more exact change and got jipped again but not as bad as the first time. I then took the bus to San Nicolas. End of day two. I ducked into an apartment complex and waived down a passing car. Had a beer and a soda.
It was dark, around PM. I started walking down the street and some dogs started barking and growling at me. I gave them a few dollars for gas. They were getting filled by a friend in another car who brought gasoline. If anyone needs clarification, feel free to ask.
It's cheaper, by one dollar each way, if you are a resident and have a card. I also witnessed at least 15 prostitutes on the street.
